Konica Minolta Vivid 910fw 3D Laser Scanner

Vivid 910fw

Entry Level Konica Minolta 3D Laser Scanner

The Konica Minolta Vivid 910fw 3D laser scanner is ideal for applications requiring general 3D facial or body detail or smooth objects. As the entry level 3D scanner model for Konica Minolta, the Vivid 910fw makes photographic style 3D scanners affordable.

Value and Reliability
Over 1,500 Vivid scanners are in use around the world today. Users can rely on Konica Minolta's ISO standard production and long history in producing 3D scanners. As one of the lowest cost 3D laser scanners available, the Konica Minolta Vivid 910fw provides superior value for money.

Based on the Vivid 910 model, the Vivid 910fw model provides the essentials to scan an image in just 0.3 seconds. Using a single camera lens, users can 3D scan a field of view from 360mm x 270mm up to 900mm x 1200mm, and between a range of 0.6 metres to 2 metres from the object being scanned. This flexibility and performance is unmatched by other 3D scanners in its price range.

Colour data is also captured for creating 3D colour models.

Software is included that will align and merge scans into a single 3D CAD model. Users can also import generic 3D STL files in binary format.

Simple Operation
There is no lengthy set-up, warm-up, or calibration process. With Konica Minolta's precision auto focus, there is no need to move the VIVID 910fw back and forth or to manually adjust or guess at the optimal focus unlike other 3D laser scanners. There is also no need for manual adjustment for different ambient light conditions. The automated operation allows users to scan with minimal training and obtain useable results within seconds. For advanced users, manual control of all settings is available if desired.

The Vivid 910fw simply connects to a computer and the user sees what the scanner sees via a live video feed. This enables users to simply point and scan.

High Speed & Safe
The Vivid 910fw can 3D scan approximately 76,000 points in only 0.3 seconds. The laser used meets USA FDA regulations for eye safety, making the scanner safe to use with people.

Rotary scan setup
Turntable alignment
With Konica Minolta's optional computer controlled rotating table, you can rotate the part to be scanned and capture all sides of an object in one automated process.

Portable
The Vivid 910fw weighs approximately 11 Kg's and does not require a host computer. This allows the Vivid 910 to quickly and easily moved between locations for 3D scanning. Users have taken the Vivid series of 3D scanners for detailed archeological onsite 3D scanning.

Complete Software & Hardware Package
Automated alignment
All VIVID products come with digitizing software that enables a user to select specific points on a target object to be viewed, modified, modeled, or scaled with ease. The supplied software provides users with the ability to combine disparate scans, such as that shown above, and then combine and merge the data into a single 3D model.

The VIVID supports a wide range of software applications via industry standard 3D file formats. Software packages such as those provided by Raindrop Geomagic can process 3D scan data directly into NURBS files.
