Immersion Microscribe 3D Scanner

Microscribe arm

Are you reverse engineering or designing accessories? Are the original CAD models either not available or not accurate to the finished part due to manufacturing distortions? The Microscribe is the ideal product for designers and animators seeking a larger 3D scan work area at a reasonable price.

With a series of joints that behave like a human arm, the Microscribe is very flexible and suitable for scanning objects with undercuts and hard to reach areas. You merely touch the object to be scanned with the tip of the arm, building up a series of 3D points or lines in the computer.

Using a Microscribe significantly reduces 3D computer modeling time and improves accuracy when compared to traditional techniques using rulers and vernier calipers. Freeform shapes and complex geometry are quickly and accurately scanned into the computer.

Compatible
Easy-to-use and compatible with many popular 3D CAD software programs (PC & MAC), the Microscribe is an affordable desktop digitizer.

Simple Connectivity
The Microscribe connects seamlessly to major software programs including Pro-Engineer, Solidworks, Rhinoceros and 3D Studio MAX. You merely connect the Microscribe to the computer via a RS-232 serial port or a USB port. The computer will see the Microscribe as another hardware accessory, similar to a computer mouse.
